1,000 mile service. Where?
Discussion
My Tam is coming up for it's 1,000 service. I live in central London and I don't mind a traveling a reasonable distance if I'm going to get good service. I want to use the dealer I bought the car from but there are rumours that it has recently lost its TVR dealership - not confirmed! Anyway this dealer wasn't going to charge me for the first service (parts/oil only), plus I was very happy with them. So where should I take my car now? Same place regardless? If so will it invalidate my warranty? Will another dealer charge me? How much should I expect to pay? Any help would be much appreciated.
TVR Silverstone would get my vote.
Book it in for a day with something interesting on track, and walk round and watch for a few hours.
Steve and the gang are well worth a visit.

Hi K.K.
The TVR Centre in Barnet looks after our car and we find them excellent, both in terms of quality of work and customer service.
I really have to second this. They are very friendly and they are all in to the cars. As they normally bring 3 or 4 cars down to the ACE meetings you can see there commitment.
Thanks for the advice. My usual dealer has now confirmed that they will still be TVR dealers for the next 12-24 months so I can use them for the 1,000 mile service. After that it will probably have to be the TVR Centre in Barnet.
(By the way, The Dodger, yes I'm afraid the Speed 6 requires a service after running in of 1,000 miles)
