I'm thinking of buying a 2006/7 Boxster S which is the most informative forum. Can any owners shed any light on what issues if any these cars have?

The one you have just posted on isn't too bad.

You could try 911.com

They have a section for Boxsters and a thread on buying advice.

O.k. So what year was Porsche formed as per registration question. Just to speed things up is the PASM a good option? and what is a PSE and do they all leak oil.

dont understand what your looking for or what you mean by what year was porsche formed but if buying a 987 standard suspension on 18"wheels is excellent not struck on pasm but it seems a must with 19" rims although my spyder is on 19" wheels with a sports suspension and no pasm yet again fine if a little firm, its all down to personal choice.pse = porsche sports exhaust.and none leak oil although post 2006 model year cars have a better ims early models prone to failure although rare

PSE = Porsche Sports Exhaust. A very desirable but rarely specced option. As above regarding PASM - not necessary with 18's but essential with 19's. IMO of course.

Thanks for the replies, on the Boxa login it asks when Porsche started. I am a bit confused because on a report I read it stated that the PASM was actually working all the time in the background and when the button was actually pressed it sharpens the throttle and lowers the car and stiffens it up. Is the 3.4 that much better than the 3.2
