Just driven through deep water.....
Discussion
As per the title, I've just accidentally diven through some quite deep water, luckily slowly, didn't stall it etc. There is now what sounds like a grinding / water forced against a panel noise when the car is moving, no noise when cat is stood still. No warning lights, starts first time, performance and temperature fine etc.
Question is will this dry out over time, or have a I done something here ? The water in the puddle didn't come up very high, at the mist maybe halfway up the wheel.
Any advice or experiences very welcome, the car is a diesel Saab 93.
Thanks

Water's probably pushed your wheel liner against something rubbery at a guess, or you've taken on water in the under tray and it's being weighed down
I'd guess something like this. I wouldn't have thought it would still be holding water somewhere - should all drain out fairly fast. I'd have thought it's more likely that wheel arch liner is rubbing on wheel, or some bit of plastic underneath has been pulled loose and is dragging. Have a good look at all of the plastic bits under the car and around the wheels.bestinshow said:
