Just a quick heads up for those of you wanting a day out next Saturday. I met a chap today who will be taking a group of Military vehicles, classics and vintage vehicles to the Fawley Steam Fete, 1 Sep 2012. He would welcome anyone who want to bring along old miliary vehicles, classics, vintage or supercars. I said I'd pass the word here and see if anyone wanted to come along. I'll be bringing my TVR Tuscan.

The Fete is signposted from the main Henley-Marlow road (A4155) but for those of you who want to come along and meet up first, we'll be meeting in the car park of Toad Hall Garden Centre at 10AM and then travelling the 5 or 10 mins to the fair at about 10:30. There facilities of the garden centre will be open (loos, restaurant for a quick cuppa etc) and there is plenty of 'meeting up' parking.

There will be a full size steam train and about 1 mile of track (so I'm told) and lots of other attractions. If anyone wants to come along, can you post your name and vehicle here and I'll act as a point of contact, failing that, just turn up at 10AM and follow us in, or turn up at any time and enjoy the day.

Of note, the fete will be held at Sir William McAlpine’s Fawley Hill estate and attractions will include his steam train.

I don't know if he will have his collection of cars on show as well, but I'm hoping so.
