nooooo frown that first entry shape of feed pipe to airbox volume is critical to hp from the front cylinder. and why make them smaller volume than std? makes no sense. Would love to dyno it but i'm pretty sure that's a backwards step ..

I like the look, but if there's not performance gains there not for me.

Slightly off topic Joolz but do 4.5 air boxes give better gains than 4.2 air boxes. I have both ( 4.5 boxers modified to fit on 4.2 inlets ) but I'm using the 4.2 boxes at the moment.

That looks like some sort of forced induction custom airboxes to me, similar to the ones on the Dutch supercharged 4.2. Although clearly the engine isn't supercharged scratchchin

I don't know to be honest graham, never done that test .. maybe you could try it out and report back if you have both sets that will fit onto your car?
