Replica 356 Speedster
Discussion
I dont know much/anything about classic cars, I drive a 997 but I have always liked the look of the speedster. Would it be a bad idea to get something like this to have as a weekend car?

Its not something I am looking at doing now maybe in a couple of years.

Bonny looking car & I can see the attraction, but they are (to put it simply) just chopped up beetles with fibreglass bodies.
Edited to add, the chopped up beetles comment is a bit strong as there is loads of work involved in getting one looking nice, it's just they never are, or will be a Porsche.

I understand it will never drive or even feel like a real porsche I have my 997 for that which will be replaced by a turbo at some point.
It will be just an extra car to have because I find them to be beautiful nothing more really. I assume it will not cost an arm and a leg to run if I only do a few hundred miles per year?

No worries mate, I think seeing them for what they are, they're a loverly Sunday motor. Iirc there's a section for them on ddk online, if you're considering one I'd get on there & start asking a few questions as I imagine that each one is probably different from the next due to the build process.I understand it will never drive or even feel like a real porsche I have my 997 for that which will be replaced by a turbo at some point.
