As usual, when I don't have the right contacts, PH is the first port of call. It worked well for dinner suggestions so here goes with another challenge!

A few years back we were recommended a private professional photographer for some family pics. We liked the 'Venture' idea, but the cost easily could end up silly and you never owned the photos to do what you wished with. The private photographer brought cameras/ backdrops/ lights to our house one afternoon for about 2 1/2 hours, took a variety of photos with the kids in a couple of different outfits. He then provided us with a cd with both the original photos and some that he had edited (our best choices and his favourites). The cost was £200 all in, which was much better suited to us than the pay per print studio schemes. After getting the photos we had a couple of canvases made, and also used the photos to send to grandparents/ make a christmas card/ etc.

We now want to get some more family pics and individual photos of the kids either at our home in Glasgow or at a studio, and are looking for suggestions please. If you are a photographer and don't want to post up here me, please pm me.

Cheers!

This was the guy who did the session last time - http://www.chrisclarkphotography.co.uk/gallery2/17... with the 12th row having examples of the type of photos we had taken

Curious as to why you are not using the 'tog you used before when you seemed happy with his work?

Only because we lived in Ascot last time, and 400 miles each way is a long way to travel for pictures wink

Young adam whom you met on thursday did some photography. Was car biased I think?

My mate who does all the art and video work for the ICBD Paul Clark of Chunky productions is very very good and being doing photos for years. Did an amazing wedding album in Lake Garda just using his Lieca which by any standards is a brave thing to do!

contact him via web site or of want his mobile etc will pvt you. He has various relatives who are professional photographers. He and they have all the kit ncessary to do studio based photos although they look to posed in my view. Doing kids is a nightmare to get right!

Are lots of others about with studios, and they will all do a good job. All photographers are a bit bossy etc but they need to to get the pic you pay for! be warned!!!!!!

Hi Fraser,
we had some pictures taken of our wee one at about 11 months. We used shutterbug in Glasgow and we were really pleased with the pictures. They were taken in her studio and we could view the pictures after on a huge big screen. Chose a few prints and bought the cd, which we own.
If you can't find her contact details then pm me and i will look out the info for you.

Have a look at trinityphotographer.co.uk
Annette has some great natural and creative images. She does loads of weddings, corporate shoots, family and new baby and has some great motorsport images too. But more to the point she fun and relaxed and gets the best out of everyone. Have a chat with her and you will see!
