Hi there, i have a tiger car e1 fitted with a weber carb (standard for the 2ltr pinto)
there is a electonic plug which connects into the side of the carb, looks kind of like a scart plug, just to give you an idea.
at present it is zip tied unconnected in the engine bay to keep it out the way, what is it for if its not being used?
the car pulls fine, iv plugged it in and with the key in the ignition and at the first click i can hear something coming from the carb, does it need to be plugged in? since plugging it in the engine idles from 1000 rpm to about 1600 rpm. should it be plugged in and then set up properly by a garage?

cheers
Kev

Model no. of carb would be useful, some carbs, especially late ones had electric idles & chokes. The later the more likely it has electric gizmos.

Choke flaps partialy stuck it don't need alot there should be a mixture screw on carb turn in till LIGHTLY seated and out 1.5 turns you should be with in a quarter turn each way of being right ,of course is the air filter clean check and remedy before fiddeling HTH
