"WeBuy-Autos" - seems legit?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone from PH has ever used this lot? Got a car up for sale just now and was contacted by webuy-autos.com they've given me a fair quote (not spectacular, so no immediate alarm bells) but I've never heard of them before. Google doesn't through up anything good or bad either.

The main thing that has me questioning the site is a strange appointment "fee" that apparently needs paid (through UKASH) and then refunded when they come to get the car.

If anyone has any info it'd be much appreciated!

A fiver says you will pay the appointment fee and never hear anything else. Any genuine company would either not charge an appointment fee, or if they did they would let you pay by card over the phone etc.

Yeah figured as much.

Just to make things slightly odder, I've now had a text saying that I do have an appointment with them in the morning (definitely sent by human rather that bot) subject to the fee being paid. Er, it's Sunday night, I aint heading out and they're supposed to be round first thing...... not sure how they saw that working
