Am currently looking into replacing the water pipes on the Ginetta G32. Currently it uses copper pipes and rubber hoses. The rubber hoses will be replaced with silicon but I dont know what to do about the copper pipes which run through the centre tunnel as the car is mid engined.
Should I keep these as copper or go down the route of stainless steel or aluminum?

Thanks

Nothing wrong with copper. You can get it at plumbers merchants along with bends, unions and olives which you can solder on to form the beading. I made all my GTM Coupe pipes in 22mm copper piping.

If you don't like the look of the copper you can spray them as I did.

If you don't fsncy the idea then aluminium or stainless will be fine too.

The look doesn't bother me too much its just that the zetec seems to use 22mm hoses where as my cvh was 16mm this is for the heater matrix pipes. Had thought about using reducers but wanted to minimize joints.

So out of it all, stick with copper modify the ends and maybe a spruce up/clean?

In the end it's your choice, but as I said in my posting, you can get 22mm copper piping at any plumbers merchants.
