Sorry Title was meant to say 2004 VW POLO... etc

The rear fogs lights come on for a second when i right indicate. When i indicate and break at the same time, both of the reverse lights flash when i indicate and break. Is it a fuse problem or a wire problem do you think?

It was working fine before hand.

The indicators don't even come on. It is really dangerous.

Any help would be more then appreciative.

Almost certainly a bad earth somewhere at the back - clean all the earth points up and try again.

Bad earth. Or if you just changed a bulb you fitted the wrong one.

What is an earth point? I am new to driving, got my car a few weeks ago. Don't know that much sorry.

The connection between the lighting cluster and the car bodywork. The negative (-) terminal of the battery connects to the car bodywork and the negative connection of each lighting cluster will also connect to the car bodywork.

Because of the way that the lamps are switched you can get some very strange effects when the connection between the lighting cluster and the bodywork is broken or dodgy.

If the car has a tow bar, any mud or moisture in the electrical socket can have a similar effect as a bad earth.

Found out that it was the driver rear lamp is loose because one clip broke and water has dripped onto the circuit which is dripping on the connectors making it rusty which is fking with the connections. So I
Need to buy a new one from
eBay or something. Can someone recommend one for me please. It has a white indicator light not orange. Tried looking around but it is like £20 everywhere. It is for 2004 polo.

Thanks a lot guys. smile
