Anywhere I can hire an S3?

Hi there, I am keen on adding an S3 to the stable, however I need a good long test drive in one as i will be doing some miles in it, and don't want to go out as a test pilot in someones personal car for sale! I would also like to answer the questions like 'Will it fit in my garage' which currently has a kit car and 3 bikes shoe horned in it....

Is there anywhere I can hire an S3 to get answers to these questions? I am in Gloucestershire.

Any info would be very appreciated.

I'd be surprised if you did find one for hire but maybe there is a "classics for hire" type of company out there somewhere with one?

But even if you do find one I'd suggest that with the age, condition, etc. even two cars that followed each other off the production line could be very different to drive by now

Have you driven one at all to see if they're anything like you expect?

Have Parklands got one you can test drive? You could also try Pioneer in Cheltenham.

I am not aware of anywhere that hires them.

As others have said, if you are buying used then no two will be the same so you will need to test drive anyway

I haven't driven one at all, I haven't gone out as a test pilot as most are private sales and I thought that might be a little unfair.... I will drive one if I can find one in a dealer though, I didn't think about going to an actual TVR garage as they are so old.... Stupid me!

Phillpot I would really appreciate a measurement, I know what the spec sheets say, but if the exhausts do stick out etc, I am getting into millimetres of space front to back in my garage! I have a Non standard size of garage...

Ignore what I said about Parklands and Pioneer. I was having a senior moment and was thinking Audi S3 (I have Audi and TVR in my fav forums list)...Doh!

Why not put a post on the S Series Forum, good chance someone reasonably local to you would be happy to take you a spin "round the block" and maybe even let you drive if insurance sorted?
If that gets you hooked then try sorting a longer "test drive" somehow?
