"West Yorkshire style" curries in London? Where?

I love curries in Leeds, Bradford and surrounding areas. Since living in London I've been unable to find any curry houses that do as good curries. Some are clearly good places but the food just doesn't taste as good IMO. I put this down to the fact that the communities hail from different regions.
In fact, I once had a curry in Turkey and it tasted just like a curry in Bradford - turned out the guy had worked there for a while before moving to turkey.
Just wondering if there are any good restaurants in London with these subtly different curries on offer?

Do you mean old school curry houses with the aquarium and the flock wall paper? My local was like that and I loved the food. Often would pop in after finishing late at work and be the only sober person in there. A couple of large Cobras would sort that problem out and I always requested the table by the fish 
Sadly it got revamped and went all fancy but the food suffered. Looks great for pictures but is dry and tasteless. A lot of curry houses have gone that way here in darkest SW London but one remains true.
The Ahmed in Wimbledon Broadway. Me and my brother in law try to get together once a month for a few pints of Youngs then drop in for a late curry. Not so late that we can't get a few more drinks in another pub after

Have you asked the ones in London to make your curry "West Yorkshire style". I've found that
the guys know exactly how people make curries in different areas and can adapt. I used to
work in Ireland and could get the local curry houses to make the curry "Glasgow style" which
is a good bit hotter and tastier than "Dublin style".

I've got the opposite problem! I grew up with, and love, North London's anglo-asian cooking, which I'm quite sure bears no resemblance whatsoever to anything hailing from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh - I suspect it's much more integrated/tamed down/wussed up than West Yorks ones, mostly.
In particular I've noticed that a) I'm ridiculously sensitive to capsaicin, ludicrously and pathetically so and b) curry houses north of about Oxford use chilli flakes in pretty much everything, whereas ones in Bounds Green, Finchley and Muswell Hill don't.
Which basically means I haven't been able to enjoy an indian takeaway at home for 9 years.
Can anyone recommend a London-style curry in Manchester, please?!
