Chasing a rooftop location for a shoot in London somewhere, doesn't have to have much of a view, but must obviously be a roof.. :P Can collaborate if location provider is also a photographer and I will arrange MUA/model/lights/assistant, or can offer case of beer otherwise.. smile

I was looking for a rooftop location for a fashion shoot a little while back and found this which I've been granted access to. I never got around to actually doing the shoot due to lack of organisational skills and waiting for the right weather (it will be cold and windy up there!).

PM me with more details about the project etc and maybe we can arrange something

Try New change Cheapside by St Pauls. You get the lift to the roof, so you have views of St Pauls etc. Worth a look.

Out of interest what did you have to do to get access? Was it through someone you knew? Once found do you generally have to pay or just be nice?

It's a derelict building and a fellow PHer works for a company who are doing work on it. He said I could use it in exchange for some shots of his car. Although not sure if I'm allowed anymore as they've already started construction - it seems I procrastinated too long...

would be difficult to arrange a fashion shoot there without permission security will throw you out most likely (and during daytime its busy as its part of a bar). Ok for going up and taking some quick snaps which I did just the other day!

This in Spades. I did several shoots in Brighton on a 5th floor roof and, even that low, it was a nightmare. There was barely a breath of wind a street level but, up top, it was blowing a gale with clothes and hair going all over the place. If I was asked again, I'd try to get the shoot moved inside into a high building with floor to ceiling windows and a nice view. Dealing with the reflections etc would be doddle in comparison.
