Topic has probably been done to death but been paid and want to have a few good weekends of blatting round yorkshire before i have to think about paying bills. favorite road at the moment is going between Hawes through Gayle on Beggarmans Rd and on to buckden had an absolute blast in my Rallye a few weeks back. heard that Buttertubs pass is pretty good just leading into hawes. is there anywhere maybe between oxenhope and thursden area that anyone knows of?

Yes lot's of cracking roads up there;

Buttertubs as you mention, then back through Muker and over the top towards Newbiggin.

The Garsdale Coal Road from Garsdale Station to Dent Station and down the hill into Dentdale, Cowgill and over Deepdale. Or south past Clapham station over the top to Gisburn Forest.... 100's of miles of superb roads

A 106 Rallye is a cracking car to play with on those roads.

You should join your local motor club and try those roads competitively.... wink

Driven (and also navigated) all the above on Road Rallies.
It's the best way to get out and enjoy your car all you need is a partner, a competition licence, club membership and a small entry fee. All perfectly legal....

Not much on the net about it unless you join closed forums but Wiki's description is more or less right.

Decent reports are rare in the press, but this one sneaked through about an event earlier this year;

Blakey Ridge is a good drive out, I just head somewhere then get lost on purpose, always find some decent roads.

Try Reeth over to Kirky Stephen via Tan Hill, then Nateby and back across to Thwaite to try Buttertubs from the north.

Plenty of lovely roads up there but watch out for cyclists on the narrow ones - one of them could be me smile

Blakey Ridge... Yes, remember that road too, very fast... better without a puncture though frown

Similar here. Just keep an eye on the petrol needle...
