2012 Fiesta Metal
Discussion
Hi all, got a couple of pics of my new Fiesta Metal. It's based on the standard Zetec S, but has slightly shorter gear ratios, free flowing exhaust and better induction system for marginally better performance (about 1.5 secs quicker to 60mph), and limited to a run of 1000 cars. All have Full Black Heated Leather Seats, Climate Control, Piano Black Dash, slightly different bodykit to the Zetec S, and 17" Panther Black alloy wheels. I know it looks a bit 'Essex', but I am still only 21
(and I refused the White paint!)
Been assigned it's '62' plate today, so getting ready to pick up on September 1st
Bring on the track-days!

Oi! What's wrong with white Fiestas!

Seriously though, that interior makes me not want to get into my standard Zetec S in the morning!
Amazing how a few subtle changes can make such a big difference...
Being honest, I think I prefer the front end with no silver shiny bits on but they could be sorted easy enough!
Very nice, the standard one certainly feels like the chassis could cope with more power, is that the same as the mountune exhaust?

Nothing, I'm only joking! I very nearly did go for white if I'm honest

I know what you mean about the silver parts, I was thinking of changing them for black, but time will tell
I don't think it's the same, it's an awful lot quiter than the Mountune, but you're right the exhaust tips look very similar. I'll get it up on a ramp and have a look when I get it. Chunkychucky said:
Awesome, bit keen for 'fast Fords'! Tell me, has it actually got different gearbox ratios or has it just got a shorter diff ratio? Nice car
Thanks
I have spent most of my afternoon trying to find the exact ratios, but found nothing. It's the same as the S1600 box, I'll have to find that one out. Please don't tell me it was anywhere near the £16k that it shows here.....

Would you mind me asking how much fold its set you back? I'm thinking about getting one.
Just under £14k, the list of this was about £16600, I was going to go for a factory order, but this was my local dealer and they had perfect spec (didn't want keyless, didn't want tinted windows, Bluetooth doesn't bother me), but it does have a steel 14" spare wheel (£95 extra!)okie592 said:
love these, arent they more powerful than a Zs, 136bhp i think? very nice i was looking at one recently
Yeah that's it, I haven't driven one yet (none available locally), but I did drive a couple of Zetec S' which I really, really liked.LewG said:
Very nice, unfortunately never got to drive one whilst I was working at Stevenage Gates a couple of months ago!
They have got 2 in at the moment, a White one with every extra, and mine, both of which now sold. It's the biggest Ford dealership around that's for sure!iggysport said:
Nice choice, interior looks nice. Really rate that
Thanks

Don't tempt me! It's already running the same power as the entry package, 155 seems tempting though...! Rosscow said:

Very nice. I looked at getting one of these but I really wanted a car with cruise control so I ended up buying a pre reg Titanium 1.6 with all the toys. Still goes well though!
I would have been in the same boat as you about 3 months ago, now I rarely venture onto the motorway so it's no longer an issue. I do like the Titanium, is yours petrol or diesel?tbc said:
The diffuser cracks me up
whats the point
Whoops! Better get rid of something on his car because someone on a forum doesn't like it....👻whats the point
ANYWHO!
OP, beautiful car! Love the metal, ESP in black. If I ditched my ST and had to go for a mk7 I'd either go titanium derv with street pack of one of these.
