Sensatori in Sharm El Sheikh - anyone been
Discussion
yes yes £630 for 7 days from thompson... not cheap.
What Im wondering is several things:
how long for?
kids involved? Ages?
diving experience?
your budget?
how many dive and/or snorkel?
If you like touristy or relaxed?
The Ibiza style of resort preferred?
Entertainment needed?

Yes! I stayed here in July last year when it had not been long opened.
Really lovely hotel, everything is nice and new obviously, and nothing looks dated or dirty at all. The rooms were lovely with really comfortable beds and really nice bathrooms with some nice little touches. They all have spa music in them and mood lighting etc.
The pools and surrounding areas were really nice, and there's an adults only pool aswell.
The swim up rooms looks amazing! We didn;t have one of those though.
All inclusive was great aswell, waiters coming round the pool all day offernig you drinks and ice creams etc, and all the restaurants were nice. The main buffet restauraunt has a really good selection of food with some specialist stations doing different things each night.
Was a really quiet relaxing holiday. I'd go as far as to say the most relaxing i've been on as the resort is reasonably secluded with it's own private beach area, so it was literally a whole week of doing nothing and getting massages at the spa! Bliss!
Feel free to ask any questions if there's anything specific you want to know!

- Just myself and Mrs ghibbett. No kids.
- Plan on 7 nights only due to work commitments.
- Budget is £2k-2.5k
- Not into diving but may give it a go.
- Enjoy snorkling.
- Main reason is to get some sun and relax (much needed).
- Really interesting in the quadding in the 'dunes activity though.
you pretty much sold yourself on that hotel... not many have swim up rooms, so choice is how you say limited.
Can I also recommend the Bedouin Dinner and star gazing... Its amazing.
Im not a fan of camel tours, more of the diving and snorkelling, but needed something for an evening to do.

I take it that is cooking your own bread, along with a bit of the old pipe smoking and some star gazing? If so, then that's a defo on the to do list. What about visiting the pyramids? I've heard you can fly there (there's no way I'm taking a bus). Any idea of cost?

If doing the pyramids, you will get a lot more out of it if you look at giza (quickly, too many tourists) and then go to Saqqara:

I spent 6 hours looking round the tombs and pyramids in 48 degrees heat, doing Saqqara first (allowed a lot more access, just ask) then a final stop off at Giza and get bored by the crowds, before stopping at the watering hole:
Mena House Oberoi overlooking the pyramids... we sat here:

In the background is one of them.
100 Egyptian pounds is about a tenner! So that's surely not right?! Do you mean 1000? I've never flown to the Pyriamids form Sharm so i wouldn't know, but i have been to them several times whilst in Cairo.
They are a must if you can afford it and have the time really, So surreal to see, and you should also do the Egyptian museum and the sphinx whilst there.
