From Calais or Dunkirk, preferably one that doesn't involve too much E40 or E42. I don't mind if it takes 6 or 7 hours, that's not a problem.

I'll ask my friend what route we took last year. He goes a few times a year to the Ring, via spa.

He should know of some decent routes by now.

Did this earlier in the year and it took 6 ish hours and was fantastic. Its motorway for the first 1 hour to get out of Calais and into the good roads and then it wiggles east.

Get across NE France quickly and then search out roads bordered by green shading on the Michelin maps thumbup
