Has anyone fitted Matador MP46 Hectorra2 tyres to there cars? What are they like?

I'm thinking of either buying a new set of Matador's or picking up a part worn set of Vredestein Ultrac, but i've not had experience with either brand before.

Does anyone have any insights?

Cheers

I fitted 4x Matador MP46 Hectorra 2 tyres onto my mondeo and they were every bit as good as the Continental SC3s they replaced. Excellent.

EDIT: in fact, I wrote this review (the top one)

I've recently fitted my second set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's to my A8. Previously I had tried Contis (excellent but expensive), P-Zeros (didn't last too well), Falkens (gripped well but noisy and didn't last very long at all).

The Vredesteins don't quite have the dry grip of the Contis or Falkens, but you have to be pushing VERY hard to notice, and I actually prefer the gradual breakaway to the sudden loss of grip of the stickier tyres, and the price/wear ratio is way better than anything else I've tried. They look cool as well. wink
