Thought these weren't for sale yet? A black one and a red one. Definately ST's, centre exhaust, guppy fish mouth etc, look really smart in wagon form. There is the Henry ford college just on the bottom of ours campus so I'm guessing they're driven by ford guys and maybe pre-release/journo demo vehicles ?

Impreza estate drivers always call their cars wagons.

Old Impreza estate owners will call them classic wagons biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Ah, you mean the Crimewatch special edition shooting brake - they brake just before they shoot.

Looks good in white and black then! Red not so much....from a YouTube vid it even sounds ok, not quite the 5 pot warble of the old car, but a lot better than a 4 pot should sound. Gonna nip down to the ford college later maybe see of they are still hanging around to have a gawp at.

Thats from the Japanese naming convention though. We'd probably call the Impreza wagon the Impreza estate or Impreza hatch (because it has a hatched tailgate). But the Impreza hatch is what they call the saloon.

Well wasn't the old Scoob estate officially called a "Sportwagon"? As for whether it's a saloon or hatch.. really this depends if the boot lid includes the rear window imho, although some argue it's whether the cabin and boot are a single space (whether it being separated by only seats or a solid bulkhead makes a difference I don't know). Anyway, Americanism or not I rather like the use of wagon, it's a very British sort of self-deprecating.

In estate form you lose those hideous rear lights of the hatch, got to be a good thing!
