Boost drop off

Lately I have been experiencing a turbo boost drop off at full throttle. The boost builds strong to almost 1 bar then drops off to .7 then builds again and stays there.
This is happening every time. I suspected a leak but why would it build again. Has anyone seen this condition ?

I had the exact thing happen with my 91SE and found that 2 missing nuts on the exhaust manifold was the problem. The leak was barely noticeable to the ear, but caused a .2 bar drop in boost.

Check your exhaust system for leaks.

If it is warm outside this is fairly common. Of the four SE's I've driven they all do this when using the stock turbo and chargecooler due to heat soak and the darn ECU agressively pulling boost based in discharge temps. I bet $20 it doesn't happen when it is cool outside.

Could be a bad chargecooler pump.

Do the touch test on the chargecooler box.
