Alfa 147 jtd clutch problem

Not sure if this may be peculiar to Alfas but probably best to start here.
Have a 147jtd with about 31000 miles from new. Its a 57 plate
About 5 months ago had the clutch replaced, as after a long journey it became really difficult to select any gear.This clutch gave up again after another 500 miles [strangely] so it was replaced FOC under warranty.
All has been fine for about 2000 miles but today the clutch pedal just went straight to the floor, with no resistance, and now no gears can be selected.
Any Alfa, or other bods, have any clues as to the problem?
Appreciate any help or advice before I take it back to the garage [ Independent who looks after other cars we have and a genuinely good bod!]

My first port of call would be the slave cylinder. Fairly easy DIY job really. However I am told that when the slave cylinder goes the master sometimes ain't far behind, so get that warranty book open again. TBH in my past experience now if changing a clutch would just get the job done anyway. In for a penny, etc etc etc

Easy to do. It's on top of the gearbox bellhousing under the battery tray. Replacements ain't dear (Can't confirm this but suspect it may share the same slave cylinder as the Astra/Vectra)

I had that happen... It was just a clip on the pedal linkage. It was a missed recall. It cost the garage £24 to fix. smile

Eta: the salesman in the local garage knew what it was straight away and fixed it temporarily by fiddling under the bottom of the dash for all of 30 seconds. Felt a bit daft because I thought it was the slave cylinder and hadn't thought it would be anything so mundane.

Slave cylinder was leaking so now replaced and all hunky dory. Removing the battery holder was interesting!
