hi

my car just failed mot emissions test, bmw mini cooper s 05

car is highly tuned running 270 bhp with varios mods but has never had any issues passing a test in this state of tune over last 4 years

just noticed on my fail sheet that oil temp was 63, [min to test is 60] how do they get this oil temp measured, ????

i have no oil temps gauges in the car, just the oem guessing needle car was at test station for 30 mins b4 test

air temps always read high due to inlet manifold acting as heat sink

CO reading was off the scale so hoping a new lambda will sort it for me,

just wondering if i had a "fair-test"

They pop a probe down the dipstick & measure the oil temp.

Most probably a Lambda probe down
