Lighter fuel (petrol) if the glue is petroleum based i.e. Evo stick.

Combine that with a match and bye-bye glue spots

Speak to your TVR dealer/decent car valet firm and he'll probably sell/give you some glue remover

I always use white spirits and have no problems at all, car now three and half years old and no problems after cleaning it with the spirits from when brand new.
