Capture One problem
Discussion
Calling any Capture One users....
Using 5.1.2 here, and the Focus tool from within the Details tool has dissapeared. This is since shutting down C1 last night and starting it again today, nothing else has changed. I've been googling it but no joy , wondered if anyone had any ideas, i know a few of you use C1. It's a tool i use every editing session so its a PITA for it to just not be there for no apparent reason. I know i could just zoom in 100% to check sharps but thats not a workable solution long term for me.
Not done any upgrades, C1 related or not, or installed any other software / drivers blah blah. Just powered up this morning started C1 and kerblam, no focus tool.
For those versed in v5 AND v6, is the upgrade worth it? i use it as a RAW converter and for a few minor adjustments, but love the skin tones C1 gives. Not feeling constrained by v5 but you never know eh. I know i could always download the trial....

As Mark says really.
I have spotted tools apparently disappearing from menus once or twice. I think an inadvertant mouse click may have 'undocked' them and then placed them somewhere obscure. I'm not sure but I don't think floating tools are persistent if you close and re-open.
Bear in mind that you can add or remove tools and create your own menus and even complete Workspaces tailored for different activities should you wish to.
As for V6 - I would say the upgrade is well worth it. For me the biggest benefit (apart from the additional features) seems to be improved stability and improved speed on my elderly dual core Pentium based 32bit system.
These days I rarely use anything other than C1.
