Iv had the header tank off , bled up the cooling system with the car jacked up at the front , bleeding the rad 1st, then passenger water rail and drivers last, didnt find much air coming out yet when it warms up there is a load more heat from the passenger bank than the drivers side, the manifold is a lot hotter , i cannot recall this happening before I did the work. The thermostat is working as the rad gets warm after a few minutes. Is there any other factors that would make it do this ? Running lean on 1 side or something? Any advice appreciated

Ive had this with mine, but it was nt related to doing work on the cooling system. My ECU had a moment and the ignition timing when wrong.

Try hooking it up to the lap top and reset the adaptives.

I had this recently with doing the cooling system. Sounds like an air lock somewhere. Try squeezing the hoses and run the engine up again and bleed it again and again.

I'd agree on airlock as well. Can be a bit of a pain to get it all out. When i swapped my rad i ended up using a coolant pressure tester with a cold engine and went around the bleed points initially, then fired it up and re-did it.

Same as what i done. Made lift so much easier and quicker.

I plugged the car in to the diagnostics and the injector timing was way out between the banks, I cleared the adaptive maps and started again, unfortunately I noticed some damage to the ecu internally , now I have another issue on my hands!

How are you testing that the banks are hot ? Are you checking to see if both exhausts are blowing hot ? If they are then it will not be an issue with ecu and resetting the adaptives it will be a coolent issue but if one is hot and one is cold then it's defiantly a ecu set up issue or coil pack that will need replacing. What is damaged in your ecu there is not a lot to go wrong in them.

I have managed to sort the hot bank out by setting the throttle pots, the chip in the bottom right of the ecu ( mounted on a separate pcb) is fried , the diagnostics shows no faults but there is a bad misfire, which would show up on the lambda readings, so I disconnected the lambda's and run it up, still shows no faults and says the lambda's are ok?

Call tvr power and see what chip that is they should know you can buy chips separately for the ecu. Have you got picture of the ecu I will see if I can find out for you, plus I know a company who can fix ecus
