Need to get four new tyres for my Forester and wonder what alternative brands are worth trying. Current tyres are Dunlop Sport 200E - have done a good job with reasonable levels of wet and dry grip, and much lower noise than the OE Geolanders. Size is 215/60 16 and I'm not looking to change that. Use is mainly urban with occasional motorway trips.

What recommendations do we have???

Excellent tyres and good value, I have them on a couple of vehicles:

Have a look at what's available from Vredestein, they are very well placed for value/quality.

Well, you didn't say you were in Oz and how are we supposed to tell what tyres are commonplace there? scratchchin

Fair enough - what are the chances of the first two recommendations being hard to find???

Usual suspects - Bridgestone, Goodyear, Dunlop, Pirelli, Michelin - are all easy to get.
