Browsing the rather nice selection of cars on this site, I found they had a used, 2005 MG TF for sale at £13k - more than a new chinese TF as it just so happens.

There are some very loyal MG fans out there. Price does seem rather strong though!

I had a MGF and loved driving it but reliability was a problem.

Sold it fifteen months ago. It's still for sale in that dealer at what I think is an inflated price.

When I was selling them new in 2003/4 we were retailing 115s at 12995, 135s at 14995 and 160s at 16995

Agreed. I simply don't understand why people sit for months or years with a clearly over-priced car hanging on "for the right buyer". Deluded clowns.

Looking at the prices of the other things they have on offer I'm not suprised at the price of that, a nice selection of vehicles that have been valued by pulling a random high number out of the air.

They seem to sell a fair bit of stock so they can't be that far out.Maybe most are consignment sales though ?

I suspect he doesnt own much of that stock, hes merely advertising it for the owner who sometimes have an over inflated view of what the price should be. He probably just waits until someone offers something reasonable.

Some serious variability in M3 pricing as well... The E90 at £24k looks roughly right... The E46 at £36k however!!!!

I have a friend who is seriously considering putting a chunk of his redundancy money their way for that ... (he already has a new job).

I think at £5k it would have been gone already.

From what I kind make of it they're moving a decent chunk of stock and they're by no means the only company doing this.

Fact is, there are well heeled people out there willing to pay a premium for highly prep'd cars and a good sales service. Well done to them for tapping up that market

I can see the market for 'as new' iconic cars such as the RS4 and E46 M3, maybe even the 106GTI, but who the hell is going to pay £13k for a TF?!

I think the website and photos are spot on, and would happily buy from these guys at a premium if the sales service carries through
