I've never understood why more people don't fit a cup type wing to their 997.1 GT3s. Looks great when it's on I've always thought.
agreed.. especially in white.i'm gonna make a trailer hitch mod.. been thinking, ain't that difficult.. will utilise my spare bumper too.. would love to put 13" slicks on the empty trailer & prehaps mount a mini cup wing on it & rock up to the pit marshalls for the sighting laps for the craic!!...

what do you mount the trailor hitch to? the silencer? or straight to the engine block?
presumably something connected to the bumper beam?
probably start with the rear alloy impact bumper or its mounts, on the end rear chassis legs... pretty straight forward engineering if done right.. would be possible to make simple light & strong if the correct materials are used.. loaded trailer would only weight 400kgs max.

Apart from the obvious objections, doesn't a trailer hitch, with its heavy reinforcements, add a lot of weight?
Yeah but think how much you could brake check folk out on track with a tow hook
Joking aside, with a removable neck you would probably have 15kg at most left on the car when doing proper driving.
On a 1400kg car it's not much. You would more than make up any performance impact from the slicks it would let you run.
Ofcourse, everyone is mostly having some fun around a posting of a photo thats fun, fantastic and inspiring. It doesn't always need to be serious.
This guy has been making them for years.

Looks pretty easy to do. Sounds like the lights aren't even a problem as U-Haul make readily available adaptorts that just plug in to connect the trailer lights to the car.
