I am in the US and have a 1994 (outboard rear disc brake, plastic bumper model) 4.0 XJS coupe with the Jaguar 5 speed manual gearbox. The clutch slave cyclinder has had a slow leak so I ordered a repair kit, Jaguar part BAU 4781A (no other parts listed). The kit has 2 seals in it, the 'O' ring for the piston rod and the cap for the end of the slave body. The rubber cap is stamped Lockheed and looks like a typical seal. However, when I removed the slave cylinder it is a FAG part, and the cylinder has S8606K on the casting. The end seal is nothing like the one in the kit, the rubber seal is flat and held in by a circular sort of metal spring washer. The FAG seal has part number K2257 molded into it.

I have tried googling the FAG number but get nothing.

Has anyone any experience or part cross reference for me on this?

Thanks
