You may recall my post almost 12 months ago, well today was the 2012 event. Offering Dream Rides to children from local charities.

Another fantastic day, some amazing cars and amazing people.

I won't ramble on but here are the pictures...

My bro is the chap getting excited by the Aventador, he went out with the owner on the sighting lap (thanks John, top bloke!) and the E31 which was seriously, SERIOUSLY overshadowed by almost every other car that attended is my humble transport.

I spent a lot of time sitting and waiting for a group of 3 that couldn't fit in anything else together, but was worth it.

Should probably point you all here;

They do some seriously excellent work and I'm proud to have been invited along. The kids and their parents loved every second and it really is a humbling experience.

Looks like you had a great day! My dad did some work with them at The Supercar Event this year with Dream Rides. Hopefully we'll get ourselves onto one of these track days biggrin

It's well worth getting involved.

I didn't do much driving as the kids wanted the Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche etc - or the 350Z that got the reputation for 'being mental and drifting around all the corners'. I took more kids out last year in the 6 series convertible. The 13 year old BMW didn't get a look in.

However, it cost a day of my time, a few £ in fuel and I helped put a couple of the marquees up. In return I got to see some kids who weren't dealt the best hand in this life with a massive smile on their face, heard some mental machinery at full chat and got to chat with some passionate petrolheads.

People congratulate the owners for taking the time to share their good fortune, but in reality we get to put our cars through their paces, for free, and make people smile.

We're all winners, and the people that need to be thanked are the sponsors... so make sure you buy anything you need from http://www.cesuk.com
