MSG – Mini Southern Gathering

22 September 2012, Shuttleworth Collection, Old Warden Park, Biggleswade, Beds. SG18 9EP

Following the success of BSG in 2011, we are back again at the world famous Shuttleworth Collection to savour the nostalgia and revel in the breath taking sights of some of the oldest planes taking to the skies. This event is your chance to get up close and personal with the world famous aircraft of the Shuttleworth Collection. Meet the pilots and ask all involved with the collection those questions you've always wanted to ask!!
The day kicks off with entrance to the world famous Shuttleworth Collection of vintage airplanes, cars and motorbikes, then you can take a leisurely stroll around the Swiss Gardens and be inspired by the beautiful scenery. Then head over to the Bird of Prey centre and marvel at the beauty and grace of flight as nature had intended. For those with younger members of the family you can also let them loose in the Jubilee play area to try and burn off some of the limitless energy. Don’t forgot you can also bring along your own picnic, tables, chairs, chandeliers and refreshments and sit back and relax whilst the quintessential England we all love and enjoy unfolds before your eyes as the day then finishes off with the spectacular display of the Collections planes taking to the sky.

If that’s still not enough to keep you entertained, we have also arranged escorted run outs for Saturday, a circular route to the north and a second circular route to the south. Both start and end back at Shuttleworth and take in some of the wonderful roads Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire have to offer. Each route is approx. 66 miles long and takes 1½ hours to do – obeying the speed limits obviously !!

Both routes depart at 11am returning you in time for lunch. If you wish to take part in either of the escorted run outs please email Zoe (ro@tvrcc-cambs.co.uk) with your preference of route and you will then be sent further details of the meeting points.

In addition we have also our own TVR dedicated parking area, and a few select trade people will be in attendance as well to offer their advice, 1 of which will be Racing Green who have said they will be bringing along their FFF car for you all to see.

So don’t delay and *BOOK NOW*

Top job Zoe, I will advertise MSG on the Surrey forum on the TVRCC and the e-group. Steve and I can't be there as we are both at Spa working in the pits supporting a Marcos for the 6 hours. I'm sure MSG will a great success so best of luck for fine weather and a grand day out.

Great day out! Many thanks to Zoe for arranging it!

Lots of sun, TVRs and loud planes with the odour of ozone. Who could ask for more?! biggrin

Well done Zoe, great day out. Run in was superb and we all stayed together (mostly)seeing it was a Saturday morning.

Thanks to the Cambridge region for making me feel welcome, especially Kevin.

Zoe, I am sure the region will miss your organizational skills on your retirement from RO.

Thanks again

Steve
