Focus 2008 (58) radio crashes !

Hi all,

I have a Ford Focus 1.8TDCI and the radio i have does the following:

SatNav,
AUX input,
Radio,
Voice Commands
Hands Free, CDs ETC.


In genral this is a good unit however on some occasions (1-2 times a month) it will freeze. I have tried a few things to unfreeze it like turn the car and radio off then lock the car. i have even left it over night hoping that the next day it will be ok.

But the only way to fix it is to take the connector off the battery. Annoying...

Anyone know of a fix or having problems?

I had something similar on my 57 focus Sony unit, where it would lock on seeking phone and there was no way to get it off with out leaving for 48 - 72 hrs. This happened over a couple of weeks leading up to my battery dying and I have seen no problems since replacing the battery.

It's funny you should say that as i have (1 week ago) changed my battery and all is fine up till now...

i will have to wait and see.
