Just spotted one heading West at a fairly low altitude. Was it perhaps at Mildenhall?

What's that up to then? Is it booked to display anywhere? Normally a sign of impending doom when they arrive ;-)

There are various airshows planned over the next few weeks, and i believe more may be due to arrive.... I don't think any journeys to north africa or the middle east are planned....

It landed this afternoon at RAF Fairford where it is staging before heading to the aforementioned shows. Friend of mine was on the pan and saw it land.

I remember when the B52s were stationed at Fairford for their bombing missions in Iraq. Living in swindon meant I got to see several fly over my house and once see 5 in formation. Totally awesome sight.

More like shock and awe if you're on the receiving end.

Can anyone tell me if it took off this morning?

Just been confirmed that a B-52 will be flying at Leuchars Airshow next weekend. Can't wait, have never seen one fly before.

My overwhelming thought the first time I saw one take off, was that it wouldn't biggrin
