If i get a bog standard lux and and strip it out to save weight for track work ,ie 150 kilos maybe?? is it poss to get the car to be as quick as my S2 which is 50 bhp up but about 300 kilos heavier when all said and done.
Also is there any cheap tuning tips for the 2.5 engine.

Kevin Eakins who builds the cars for the 944 race series claims 190bhp from his 2.5 litre engines.

Well remembered Dave, I'd forgotten about that.

Dontlift had his 2.5 rebuilt by Kevin and IIRC it cost £1500 to get to that figure. I think that will be where I have my S2 rebuilt when it gets past 200k just before the 9M supercharger goes on it
