LN Engineering do the upgraded bearing and of course Hartech do as well. But, is there anyone that sell the bearing kit without fitting? LN do but they are in the States and im sure they would send it over but is there someone in UK offering it as a standalone product cheaper? I think Autofarm may do but it says POA on their website but wondering if anyone tonight can give me a heads up?
Cheers in advance

Hi, autofarm may supply to the public....BUT you do need specialist tooling to extract old bearing and time up engine.

S&C, cheers. Dont worry i wont be doing it. Im asking about getting it done the same time the clutch is changed. I dont have the car yet, but part of the PPI is new clutch and asked about getting the IMS upgraded at same time if i supply the IMS.

Try northway Porsche. They should be able to supply an upgraded IMS should you need one. Have you considered the ims guardian ?

Ive looked at them on the net but prefer to do the pre-emptive measures, especially as the clutch is being done.

They fitted one to our C4S along with clutch and flywheel, so they do get them. Not sure why they don't list it on their website.

It's always better to get a garage to supply the part you want fitting - they may make a small margin (based on their discount, so not out of you) and they'll always be happier doing the whole job. Also, better to use someone who's done the job before, rather than let someone learn it on your car - Sports & Classic, Hartech and Autofarm all have experience.

I believe Pelican Parts do an IMS bearing replacement kit of their own now which is cheaper than LN. They also sell the LN kit IIRC.

I think Design911 sell the bearing and extraction kit.
