Just driven into central london this evening in our "other car" to collect the GF from something and I noticed a couple of police on bikes heading towards Marylebone hight street. When I pulled alongside them I was a little shocked to see they were both armed with holsters around them and what I am 99% certain were hand guns. Is this normal? I dont mind them having guns, just always find it shocking in the UK. Where my eyes deceiving me?

regards

Simon

Special Escort Group - the ones you usually see leap-frogging junctions as they escort cars, usually to/from Heathrow. The speed they can make through the ruch hour is incredible.

I think they all ride Pan-Euro's. The SEG digits at the end of the vrm are supplied 'free of charge' by the DVLA. They are sad gits who pick-out the manufacturers name on their tyres with white paint. Obviously far too much time on their hands.........
