I've been given (literally) a 1994 Westfield built around Escort parts with a CVH engine, solid rear axle, 4 speed box etc.

The engine is fitted with twin 45DCOE Webers.

Because I couldn't get the engine to run I've replaced the distributor cap, rotor arm and the fuel pump which was as dead as a Dodo.

The engine now runs - sort of - but soaks it's plugs very easily if you don't get it firing within a couple of turns. That of course means a Weber rebuild which is something I haven't done for longer than I care to remember!! Should be straightforward tho... I hope.

Electrics are a mess. The revcounter works but none of the other instruments do. Lights etc are fine. So I think there's some rewiring to do which is job I don't mind but it's incredibly time consuming.

It's fitted with brand new coil overs and the brakes/wheels are very fresh.

The interior is a mess. Just one seat because I think it might have been used for hillclimbs.

Still - an interesting project for me or someone else if I decide to sell it.
