Nail. Head. I would suggest.

Having passed my C+E early this year, work has been patchy but I always get invited back. There is no way I could work for the likes of M&S though, because I don't have the relevant two years experience for insurance purposes.

That is pure negligance. A bona fide UK driver would never have allowed that to happen. The system is fooked I tell ya. frown

I also get "Yeah your truck can get in here" and we have skip lorries in here and everything.

I look at the access to some silly little driveway and think no chance then i see a skip

already in there and think how TF did that get there ?irked

This is the approach to Viridor in Crayford, very decieving on the approach, then you go down a concrete dip and just muscle under with approx 2" either side. This was my second time up there so I was ready for it.

Whats the height and the width there? What sort of vehicles go though? Im presuming that its dustbin lorries and eight wheel earth movers, if Viridor are a landfill company?

for tightspots, this is one of my faves, its the forum in milan, as you can see abit tight, and its a long way to reverse, oh, and uphill smile

gc8, viridor is a waste site, i can't remember exactly but a standard height sea container def goes under smile
width, again can't remember was a while back, but, "JUST" over 2.5 metres wink

Driving a tarmac tipper you get asked to perform impossible manoeuvres every other day, but the most difficult was reversing twenty tonnes of tarmac half a mile along a railway tunnel in the pitch dark.

For those who are local, this was on the Monsal trail, North from Millers Dale station.

Didn't see the actual height, I was too busy concentrating on the width biggrin

However it's used all day long by artics with containers, like mine, plus some higher bulk tipper trailers used by Fred Sherwood recycling.

I always go by word of mouth - can't beat other drivers' experiences. Plus observations on the day.

Otherwise I think I might have been tempted to turn back.
