Decided the car neede one subtle change to it so ive changed the standard silver kick plate for the carbon one, it suits the black interior of my car better and almost makes the pedals look a feature where they just blended in before. Got it from ShiDevil on here, thanks Steve.

Steves kick plates do look good and are extremely well made and priced. Just a shame my interior carpet is light grey as the carbon just wouldn't suit it, looks great in the black/dark carpeted cars though and as the OP says makes the pedals a feature.

They do look good but.....

I took my silver one out of the car about a year ago when I had a issue with the switch for the brake lights. I did not put it back in and now I prefer it without it - it does not look as good but what i can do is put my left leg totally straight on journeys which I can not do if the plate is there.

It was £130 Don, search TVR Carbon on eBay to find it. As mentioned the quality is good and fits perfect, took me 5 minutes to remove old one, Hoover stones and dirt up and fit carbon panel. Tools needed - 13mm spanner for 2x nuts and 5mm Allen key for 3x bolts. piece of cake

Just got my T440/Typhon curved brake and clutch pedals to match my Typhon carbon pedal box cover.
Hopefully the deeper groves will result in less foot slipping off clutch with wet shoes smile and the curve does not make it worse frown .

Haha, it's not really a modification, colour aside it's pretty much changing like for like. Certainly not like cutting vents or big engines! wink

Not sure the I like the curved pedals either, the tips curve away from your foot so I'd guess your wet footwear will be more likely to slip.

and easy to check pedal box over, why would you want to hide such important stuff
Never had to check over my pedal box for over 3 years, however if I did want to it only takes about 2 minutes to remove the plate, you'd want to hide it because it doesn't look pretty and if without the plate there's more chance of something getting jammed behind your pedals and causing an accident perhaps... wink

People have posted on here suggesting you carry a spare throttle cable

which is why i check mine when i service the car

are you talking about a car you look after yourself or one that is maintained by a garage

A car serviced by a garage,

So the odd throttle cable snaps, it never happened on my car, if id taken that approach to spares i should have carried a spare water temp sensor, spare finger followers, an engine crane, clutch, spare battery and radiator. Then leave the bonnet off to make access easier and it look cool... A bit extreme but you get the point. The kick plate should be there, it's easy to remove, chances are you don't need behind it more than once a year which takes 2 minutes during a service.

Or am I missing something?
