High Mileage Lease Deals

Hi all,

Not sure where to post this so Mods, please feel free to re-direct as per.

There are loads of lease, pcp, rent deals for new cars but I cant seem to find many over 12000 miles per annum. I will be doing around 40-45000 miles per annum and was wondering what I could get for £412 p/month.

Obviously not expecting anything great but has anyone out there been in a similar situation?

This wont be happening until December so I have plenty of time to choose.

Thanks for that, it will be a personal contract as I get an allowance. I guess £217 wont leave me with many decent options, certainly not something comfortable enough over 45k miles a year!

I'd suspect there'd be few at those mileages. Not a car salesman so can't give a cast iron answer but I'm sure they offer 3-year+ contracts on PCP with an agreed residual value. It'd be difficult to offer something attractive to somebody who was going to clock 120k-135k miles in that time without risking taking a hit.
One year rolling lease may be the only option?? New car every year and they'd have plenty of people who'd like a 1 year old car with high miles. Your problem might lie in how far up the executive motoring ladder you get when offering ~£5000 to a company for a year's driving when the vehicle might depreciate significantly more than that.

Is that £412 after tax?
Do you have a company car at present?
Will the mileage be business use? If yes, what mileage rate?
Do you pay higher rate tax?

You can get lease deals at whatever mileage you want, the websites usually only quote a certain figure so you have to email them or pick up the phone. Nationwide Vehicle Contracts have a calculator which lets you play with deposit and mileage.

Assuming that mileage is mostly company, you would be mad to be doing anything other than driving a company car. If it's not an option then they are being cheeky.

You can sometimes get decent offers from the car hire places long term. They usually look expensive, but compared to leasing at 45K they may well not be as daft. I used to have a top spec Insignia for £500 a month. Expensive yes, but no commitment, they changed it every time mileage got on, and no mileage cap.
