Can rattles be fixed under warranty?
Discussion
As title suggests, can rattles be fixed under warranty?
Recently noticed that there's a rattle/tapping noise coming from both sides of the car which I've now narrowed down to the windows. It happens when they are up, but if I have them down slightly it goes away.
Can this issue be fixed? And if it can, can it be fixed under warranty?
For info it's a 3 door Audi A3, 22 months old, owned from new, covered 32,000 miles.
Just wondered what people thought before I call up tomorrow. Should I ignore the issue or demand it be dealt with etc etc.
Seems a bit shoddy when it's not even 2 years old. What will it be like at 5 years / 10 years etc!

I always thought warranty rattles where only covered in the first six months. It is that way with the dealers I have worked for.

Think it depends on the manufacturer, thought from memory Peugeot and Renault would look at that in the first 12 months from when I worked there.Carl

Cheers. Don't know if I want it fixing if grease is the solution. Seems like a design flaw to me. Shame as my 2004 A3 didn't suffer this problem. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
