Nice meeting you yesterday Martin. That is one well sorted very quick Pre cat. The response from the throttle is instant, and it pulls like a train. Also, the sound from that engine is like no other.

I was also surprised at how long it took to sell my (Martins) Griff, but watching the classifieds , alot of cars have been on most of summer(if we can call it that).
In the end I am really pleased it has gone to an owner like Martin, as he instantly recognised the years of effort and thought that is in the car. Well worth the wait for a buyer like him to turn up.

As TFO says, it does pull very well, and whilst it isnt the loudest Griff, the tone is immense.

Will I miss it? Probably, but the Tamora will help to dry my tears, and at least I know when Martin gets used to it he will be ragging the arse out of that motor and enjoying it.

Cheers to Chris and Ian at Sportmotive for help, storage and listening to me !!!!!!!!!

Cheers guys - went to work in it this morning and managed to set off the alarm on a Range Rover I parked next to! laugh

Its chucking it down in Cumbria as usual, local agricultural show last weekend along our road (mud everywhere) so its been an interesting drive home. Truly impressive when you can spin the wheels in 4th without really trying.

Although its mine now I'll always be grateful to Ant for the effort, attention to detail and long hours he put into it.
Told him I want first refusal on his Tam in 9 years!

Pics tomorrow, the conversation went something like this:

Me - what do you think of it?
Her - how come you're home so soon?
Me - never mind that, what do you think?
Her - its bigger than the old one
Me - ok..... If you say so
Her - so its older than the other one?
Me - yeeees, but...
Her - and it has a smaller engine...?
Me - ahhhh, but you see....
Her - and it appears to have a big lump of steel pipe behind the seats, so how do you see out of the back?
Me - shall we go back indoors?
Her - no way, we're going for a drive!!!

...1 hour later she loves it - result...!

Great car, what are those alloys? IMO they really suit the Griffith styling.

They are 16" RL-7's..... The car was due to have 18" Spiders at one stage, but the RL's are a bit different.
