- Red lanes for buses which you must never use
- Red lanes for buses which you can sometimes use
- Blue lanes for bikes
- Green bits at the traffic lights for bikes
- Yellow parking lines where you shouldn't park
- Red parking lines where you musn't park
- Red parking lines where you can sometimes park
Fife Council eh? Don't get me started... though it's perhaps a way of culling some of the population in Kirkcaldy, after all I've heard that the local chip shops and branches of Bernardos are struggling to cope and thus, a solution was needed?
On a serious note and without getting all Mumsnet, I concur... a monumentally stupid idea. As a man who regulary takes a 5yr old and a 9yr old to school, crossing several roads in the process the last thing you need is a distraction like that. I've spent a year with the youngest trying to tell him to cross quickly whilst always looking left and right and being frustrated by his ever increasing desire to stop and pick up stones or see if he can stand on the white line on one foot, sodding big circles is just a disaster waiting to happen.
Would have been better spending the cash reinventing the creepy Cheggers guy or the even creepier Tufty the Squirrel and sending them round the schools to teach kids how to cross roads safely.
