Great lap from Duncan in his Dax on Saturday, but sadly for him the new record didn't last long. Ian Flux took over 5 seconds off it in his Radical SR8. Amazing stuff

Great lap but I find it strange the company it keeps on that leaderboard given the monster power, downforce and no doubt full slicks. I think they need to rethink the categories as they make absolutely no sense.

I've been thrown off Bedford in My SR4 SR3 and Busa Westie and we are supposed to believe an SR8 with 460hp or two Hyabussas strapped together made 87db on drive by, o yeh

IMO this is the most noise compliant venue I've visited, when it suits that would appear?

Here's a Hush Puppie Quiet SR8 LMFAO

SR1, SR3, SR4, SL and SR8 can all be made to comply with the right exhaust. Even the F2 cars that test there all the time comply. They have to, it's the local council that sets and monitors the limits. There are no dispensations.

The time was perfectly legal.

Sorry that's Rubbish, I bought every sort of exhaust Radical could offer and the only way was to back off significantly and drive well wide where the meters are if you wanted to stay on track at Bedford.

I also rang the council offices and the meters are not linked directly to the council as per the briefings!

The council said they sometimes look at records if there is an issue. This is a great facility which is spoilt by a few Namvy Pamby moaners. Honestly the odd noisy car ain't going to deafened anyone 2 miles away!

The stupid thing is you can often hear F1 Testing from Santapod miles away above the noise at Bedford!

Anyway if I can have an SR8 that I can use at Donnigron quiet days, Bedford, Thruxton and Goodwood then please show it to me. The only reason I don't have one is it's too noisy for days other than 105db's

Good knows what the exhaust would look like on an SR8 to make 87db drive by!

We got one black flag last time with a 2.0Honda with double bespoke silencers and the exhaust was facing 90 degrees away from the noise meter after the hairpin!

I've seen BMW road cars thrown off as well, not even M3

So I'm affraid IMO this is Rubbish!

Anyway I look forward to viewing my new 87db SR8
and taking it to Donni, Goodwood, Thruxton etc which all have lower noise levels than Bedford

Give the factory a call. Ask for a Bedford friendly exhaust. You will get one and it will pass.
The SR1s were fitted with the quietest SR3 silencer and two cars ran all day with 15 different drivers. Didn't once cause a noise problem.
There'll be there on Tuesday pm again with an SR8 and the SR1 if you'd like to come along and see for yourself.

I had several Radicals and several quiet exhausts at great expense, none worked. Don't get me wrong I love the Rads and would jump at an SR8 if I knew I could use it at Trackdays other than Silverstone!

IMO Bedford decide what cars are left alone, I know if I turned up at Bedford with an SR8 for a trackday I wouldn't make two laps without being ejected! End Of 10500rpm and 430-460 BHP is close to LMP2 Performance!

Forget the exhaust it won't even pass the induction noise, simples!

Well done to Duncan we had some good battles, guess the Radical Factory got a little pissed Lol

Soooo Quiet http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=f70AeryyDAE
