Watch out chaps there is a nutter loose on the A64 in the Tadcaster area, can be quite dangerous.

Me and a friend were on the way back from Leeds in convoy last night about 10.30, this car comes blatting past pulls over in front of my mate, flashes his hazards and then brake tests him at about 75mph, mate slams on the acnhors and goes around him.

I then have to pull out to go round him, as I pull alongside he floors to undertake me and then goes back to the outside lane at quite a lick of speed. He pulls back in front of my mate, this time at a decent distance and then slows down to match out speed.

Eventually he pulled off at Bilbrough.

Quite a disturbing and dangerous thing to happen, the roads were empty and we definitely hadn't done anything to provoke this or upset him. When this happens you are never quite sure what they are going to do next.

The car was blue Audi but sure of the model and I think the reg was something like L777. If you come across this chap just keep your eyes on him as he may do something strange.

Sadly this guy is not the only one - I have had several past problems. I travel back from York to Scarborough on Saturday nights and get problems between Whitwell and Malton bypass. Its always after 8pm when its getting a bit quieter.

The most recent was two weeks ago - a couple of kids (Astra and body kitted 206) driving side by side at about 30mph. They will open up gaps to the centre or either side to see if you dare take them - what would happen if you did I don't know. They will then speed up or slow down, or switch lanes back and forth.

Sadly mobile reception in that area is pish when you want to call plod.

Kids should not be allowed out on a night - and sadly when they pulled up behind me at Shell Staxton the CCTV was on us. Let alone the camera phones of all their mates onboard - I'm probably on Youtube anyway.

Going back a few years one was in a Metro - with nitrous fitted - attempting any overtake was out - but equally was driving behind at 20.
