Well it would seem that at todays Go Further event Ford have confirmed that the Mustang is coming to the UK and will be available in RHD for the UK market. Now don't get me wrong, I'm excited by this and am already starting the savings drive for one of my own (what can I say, the childhoon want factor kicks into gear here) but the big question is, is this a good thing or are Ford giving us a model that has no real place in the UK market?

Depends entirely on the pricing strategy. I can't see how a 2+2 powerful RWD coupe is anything but a good addition to the UK market though, especially if it is aggressively priced.

I think it does have a place to be honest, the amount of imports show there is demand, and I'd imagine it would be higher in RHD. If the Monaro/VXR8 sell then so will the Mustang.

I still reckon the Falcon would be a good seller here, but Ford don't seem to like exporting them outside Australasia.

No-one with any knowledge of rhyming slang would ever consider a car which was called 'pony'.................
