Small graze :(

I've picked up a small graze about the size of a fifty pence piece on my front off side bumper at the very top where it meets the wing. My fault, very pi$$ed off with myself.

AM looked at it this morning and quoted me £800+ for it as they would want to spray the whole wing and most of the bumper which seems to be standard practice. I don't want to skimp on the finish but it seems rather excessive to me.

What would others suggest?

I'd be tempted to polish out what I could, and chips-away the rest, assuming you'll be having a respray at some point anyway. But that's without seeing it, or where it is...

I'll take a few this evening. Its not huge damage, if it was on my Civic I'd not worry about it but I want to keep my Vantage in the best possible condition I can.

Some idiot scraped my previous car and then did a runner - it was a 3" long scrape about 4mm wide and 2-3mm deep plus a small additional scrape to the paint.

I had a smart repair done for £50 and it was back to perfect. Kept the car for around 6 months after and no deterioration whatsoever. The only concern I had was longevity of the repair...

Pretty grotesque 2mm x 2mm stone chip (deep too) by a vent in the Virage's bonnet - right where it ALWAYS catches my eye and I go to investigate... oh, that chip (picked up on Day 1 of ownership) - argh. the stone chip looks a bit like a pitchmark made by a golf ball - crater with dislodged material at rear - quite a feature.

So, I am interested in this "smart" repair and whether it might be a suitable cosmetic repair for the crater in the bonnet?
