Hi again, following the welding of my fuel tank, which is back in the car and I am on the road again, a dashboard message has now come on saying 'Suspension fault! The mechanic who put the tank back in, says, that the fuel may have dripped onto a sensor???

Any comments - welcome..

If it is the same as the XJR there is an accelerometer/tilt sensor just below the petrol tank which could have been damaged. I believe that the cats control module is located behind the petrol tank in the XKR, could be this as well.

Thanks S6 devil I have had no choice but to take it to a Jaguar dealer this morning, when once again I was faced with a boot full of petrol! The Jaguar tech reckons that there is too much pressure and the fuel tank is expanding and contracting. Any weakness is then put under strain, hence the 'initial pin hole leak' this is not going to be cheap!! I am gutted and probally going to be without the car for some time!!
Thanks for all the replys and advice.

Sorry to hear that. Did he say why you are getting the suspension fault warning?

Yes he said that it was due to the fuel leak..I am having that replaced as well as another sensor and the fuel tank.

Sounds expensive! I changed the rear accelerometer on mine which has fixed the problem. New they are £217 plus VAT, I got one for £16 from a breaker, worth a punt.
