MK 3 Power Steering Reservoir Level

I put this on MX5.com earlier today, hope I can get an answer here....
'Can someone clarify an issue for me, I'm trying to determine what is the correct level for the power steering reservoir.
In the handbook it states that it should be kept between the max and min levels, as you would expect.
However on mine, I can only find a red line about 2 inches from the top, it doesn't seem to be marked max or min, and I can't see any other line at all, so is the red line max or min, and if it's the 'min', where is the 'max'?'
Any help would be appreciated
